Criticism of the traffic light's economic policy - Andreas Rey remains district chairman
At the annual general meeting of the Mittelstandsunion (MIT) in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district association, the focus was on the new board elections. Andreas Rey from Bad Hersfeld was re-elected district chairman. Jürgen Schäfer, Holger Schwaab, Volker Dietz, Kai Eckart, Sebastian Liebau and Jan Saal complete the board. The meeting was led by CDU state parliament member Stefanie Klee, who reported on Hessian state politics.
MIT expressed criticism of the federal government's economic policy, particularly with regard to the high energy prices that burden many medium-sized companies. Andreas Rey emphasized that after almost 2.5 years of the traffic light government, Germany had become the bottom of the list in Europe. He criticized Economics Minister Habeck's power plant strategy, which shows no competitiveness in energy supply and leads to high energy prices.
Rey also explained that the Union in the Mediation Committee was unable to approve the Growth Opportunities Act because the relief for the economy was linked to the condition of receiving the agricultural diesel rebate for agriculture. He urgently called for relief for medium-sized businesses and a real economic turnaround for the entire location instead of declarations of intent from the traffic light government. MIT and the Union have presented corresponding proposals to deal with the location crisis.
