Saxony strengthens its international profile: WFS is organizing appearances at trade fairs in 2023 and is planning expansion for 2024

According to a report by www.volksstimme.de, Economic Development Sachsen GmbH (WFS) has successfully organized appearances at various trade fairs at home and abroad in 2023. This included 193 companies, including 75 first-time exhibitors. According to WFS, trade fairs are an important tool for corporate marketing and personal exchange, despite digital formats.

Participation in joint stands was highlighted as particularly beneficial for small and medium-sized companies, as it saves time, costs and organizational effort. New appearances at international trade fairs, including the largest pharmaceutical and health trade fair in Vietnam and the largest tech conference in Europe in Lisbon, were successfully held.

For the year 2024, the WFS plans to bring Saxony into greater international focus for the first time at GITEX Global, an important electronics trade fair. In addition to tried and tested trade fairs such as the Green Week and InnoTrans in Berlin, new events such as Christmasworld in Frankfurt, the SEMICON Japan semiconductor trade fair in Tokyo and gamescom in Cologne are also to be included in the program.
