The political highlight of Bavarian Prime Minister Söder's multi-day trip to China is a planned meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang. This trip marks the first time a German prime minister has visited China since the end of the pandemic. Before he arrived in Beijing, Söder visited Sichuan Province, which is now Bavaria's third partner region in China.
