Trade fair industry: prospect of recovery after Corona - financial expert with positive forecast for 2024

According to a report by www.stern.de, the trade fair industry is confident as it is recovering after the Corona years. The number of events last year was back to pre-pandemic levels, and a positive outlook is also expected for 2024.

The German trade fair industry is recording an increasing recovery after the slump during the Corona years. The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, Auma, announced that a total of more than 330 trade fairs are planned in Germany, half of which are leading national or international trade fairs. This is roughly the same as before the pandemic. Last year, at least 180,000 companies and 11.5 million visitors took part in trade fairs domestically, which corresponds to an increase of around 40,000 exhibitors and almost four million visitors compared to 2022.

Trade fair organizers are expected to show further recovery in 2024. The trade fair industry is seen as an important platform for the economy, especially in times of recovery after the Corona years.

The months at the beginning of February and March are expected to be particularly busy, as around a dozen trade fairs are scheduled to take place at the same time. For example, the “Green Week” agricultural trade fair starts in Berlin in January.

The positive development of the trade fair industry shows that demand for trade fairs and events is increasing and the industry is back on the path to a stable recovery. This could have a positive impact on the trade fair market and the financial sector.
